Citizenship
All people associated with, or residing in, the Republic of Athabasca are divided into three groups: citizens, residents (further divided into e-residents and local residents), and visitors.
The right to apply to become a citizen of the Republic of Athabasca is applicable to everyone, regardless of location, identity, or current/previously held citizenship. Citizenships are granted by the Public Enterprise of Domestic Affairs and Justice.
Individuals who are interested in Athabascan citizenship will first have to go through our e-residency program first before submitting an application for citizenship. Exceptions are provided to those who can provide proof of ancestry indigenous to the Athabascan region, or, provide proof of current residency in the Republic of Athabasca.

e-Residency Program
The first step towards citizenship for those who are not located in Athabasca's territory is to be accepted through our e-residency program. With our program, residents will be able to experience Athabasca through one of our online outlets; being able to participate in Athabascan activities and events, showcase their abilities and career interests in Athabasca, and get to know the Athabascan community as a whole.
After thirty (30) days in the program, e-residents are provided a certificate of completion of their program and are eligible to become an Athabascan citizen.
